Niko Bolas - Engineer/Producer
Niko began his career managing a racing pit crew and starting a Suzuki motorcycle dealership in New York. In 1977 he helped build the now world-famous Record One Studios in California. He was lead engineer at Record One and in 1984 he began producing and recording independently. His artists have included Neil Young (The Volume Dealers), Melissa Etheridge, Keith Richards, Herb Alpert, KISS, Stan Getz, John Doe (X), and most recently, Martin Scorsese, John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, Sting, Pixar, and Daredevil Jane.
Steve Wetherbee - Engineer/Producer
As the founder of Golden Track Studio,Steve has gained a wealth of experience throughout his 30+ year career. Steve has worked with members from Rush, Santana, Kansas, REO Speedwagon, Yes, Chicago, P.O.D , Genesis, Survivor, Alan Parsons, Foreigner, Fat Burger, and Tonex. He also recently recorded, mixed and mastered an album that was in the top 5 nominees in its category for the 2007 Grammy Awards.
Joel Maitoza - Producer
Professional drummer/percussionist Joel Maitoza (formerly of the national act 24-7 SPYZ on EastWest/Atlantic Records) has over 30 years of performing experience touring throughout the US, Canada and Europe. As a graduate from the Yamaha School of Music at age 6, he is an accomplished musician with over 20 album credits on many major and independent record label releases as well as television and radio commercials. Joel is also a producer, songwriter and arranger who has a knack for writing memorable melodic hooks on guitar, bass and keyboards and has worked hands on with such industry heavyweights as Terry Date (Soundgarden, Pantera, Deftones, Slipknot), Shay Baby (Lynch Mob, Scorpions, Bruce Dickinson) Bruce Calder (Mother Love Bone, Swans, Pat Metheny) and Roger Sommers (Alanis Morissette, Rage Against the Machine, Don Henley, Hootie and the Blowfish, No Doubt). Joel has the adaptability to apply his skills to many styles of music, specializing in hard rock, metal, pop punk, R&B, funk, ska, smooth jazz, reggae, acoustic/grass roots, easy listening, mainstream commercial rock and even country. His versatility and years of experience allows him to give the client the product they are looking for by basically being a one-man band. We are proud to have Joel on our staff here at Golden Track.

Thomas Dellavechia - Engineer
Thomas has worked with many popular bands including Stranger, Elijah Emanuel and the Revalations, Kush and the Blood Fiyah Angels,and Tribe of Judah among many others. Thomas is a great engineer for any project, but is especially skilled at capturing and mixing amazing reggae tracks. Were proud to have Thomas as part of our staff.
Chris Obermiller - Engineer
Chris attended The Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences, and after recieving his degree and Pro-tools certification, moved to San Diego to begin his career. Since 2005 Chris has worked with countless artists including members from Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Train, Santana, Jonathan Moffett (Drummer for Michael Jackson, Madonna), DareDevil Jane, Al Howard and the K23 Orchestra, The Strangers Six, 24/7 SPYZ and The Karl Denson Trio to name a few. Chris has worked with many types and genres of music and is strives to capture just what a client is looking for.
Dennis Caplinger - Producer
Dennis Caplinger is a multi-talented musician who has toured and recorded with many different artists including Bluegrass Etc., Eric Clapton, Vince Gill, Nickel Creek, Chris Hillman and Herb Pedersen, Byron Berline, Dan Crary, Richard Greene, Chris Thile, Sean Watkins, John Reischmann, Ray Park, Jann Browne, Kevin Welch, Kelly Willis, Ray Price, Rita Coolidge, Buck Howdy, Tim Flannery, Eve Selis and The Academy of Country Music Awards Show Band. His busy touring schedule as Banjoist/Fiddler with Bluegrass Etc. has taken him all over the world and yielded three critically acclaimed albums to date; their latest, “Home Is Where The Heart Is” was voted one of the top ten bluegrass recordings of the year for 1999 by the Chicago Tribune.
A highly sought-after player/producer in the West-coast studio scene, he has worked on countless jingles, commercials, cartoons and movies and has his own production company based in Vista, Ca. Dennis is actively producing and playing on projects for CMH records popular “Pickin’ On” series – featured records he has been a part of include tributes to Eric Clapton, Santana, Creed, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Bonnie Raitt, Jim Morrison, Queen, Neil Diamond, Dave Matthews Band, R.E.M., Z.Z. Top, Lynrd Skynrd, Black Crowes, Phish, Dolly Parton, Brooks and Dunn, Lonestar, Lee Ann Womack, Jo Dee Messina, Tim McGraw, Montgomery Gentry, Keith Urban, Tracy Byrd, Leann Rimes, Indigo Girls, Rod Stewart, Nancy Sinatra and Van Halen.
His movie soundtrack credits include “Back to the Future III”, “El Diablo”, “Rio Diablo”, Steven King’s “Apt Pupil” and the current HBO series “Deadwood” among others. Dennis’ playing is featured on the soundtrack of “The Simpsons” and Warner Bros. cartoons “Pinky and the Brain” and “Histeria”, as well as on numerous programs on PBS, A&E, TNN and The History Channel. Recent commercials include “New York Life”, “Supercuts”, “Subway Sandwiches”, “Home Depot”, “St. Joseph’s Aspirin”, “Applebee’s”, “Discover Card” featuring John Lithgow, and “Cingular Wireless”, which Dennis appeared in along with Bluegrass Etc. Dennis has contributed to Banjo Newsletter and can be seen in the October 1999 issue of Bluegrass Now magazine, which contains a feature article on him.

Lamar Lacañgan - Producer
As founder of O.Y.I.E. Music & O.Y.I.E. Records Lamar started his music journey touring as a former member of Kindred 3 with the likes of D.C. Talk, Kirk Franklin, Billy Graham, Switch Foot, Plus One, P.O.D., and many, many other other artists. After parting with the group he formed O.Y.I.E. Music. Lamar has worked with some of the industries best including: P.O.D. , Kansas, Tonex, Pete Orta, Fattburger, Brian McKnight, Kiko Cibrian, Out of Eden, Sony Music, Univision, Hollywood Records, Dino Elefante, Tommy Aros, Chris "Deep" Henderson, and most recently produced the debut album "Broken Before You" by artist Lauren Silva, as well as producing his last solo album, Jukebox. The experience Lamar has gathered over years in the music business has made him an experienced and well-rounded producer.
